The Guild at the Dali Museum was founded in 2010 by a group of supporters committed to raising awareness of the museum
in our local and global communities and to encouraging engagement. By 2011, there were over one hundred interested members,
an executive committee formed and bylaws created. Maintaining a horizon of 100 years hence, The Guild formalized its
vision and mission:
The mission of The Guild at the Dali Museum is to build active, sustainable communities of support around the Museum,
its initiatives and enterprises.
We raise funds, enlist and educate supporters and serve the museum as knowledgable and
committed ambassadors.
The Guild has four committees: Fundraising, Education, Membership and Travel. Through their work and the support of the
museum, Guild members host two major fundraisers a year, develop and enjoy educational presentations on Dali's work and
the culture that informed his work, develop and enjoy exclusive travel opportunities, and build camaraderie around the
common interest in and support of the Dali Museum.
The two major fundraisers are Suenos de Dali (Dreams of Dali) and Los Vinos de Dali (the Wines of Dali).
Suenos, held in the fall, is an evening masquerade of fun and fantasy that established itself as the party of the year
in 2011. Vinos, held in the spring, is a custom, exclusive food and wine tasting held in the gardens and atrium of the museum.
